Last friday, our block didn't have classes due to some of us who were excused for the Bounce Cheermania, an intercollege cheerdance competition showcasing the seven colleges of the university. Among the list are Commerce, Arki, Cfad, AB, Educ, ITHRM, and the HS.
It was a tiresome pratice prior to the event but then, it was really a blast. We were their Pep boosters which was only an add-up to the group and we were the first to perform. After it, a feeling of misery and contempt for our part because we didn't deliver what was practised the way it was expected. But thanks to the ates and the kuyas for their being nice to us despite of what had happened. Then, we watched the other colleges immediately after the said performance.
Announcing the special winners are: The Best SOCC (Student Organizational Coordinating Council) Cheer for the Cfad, The Best in Costume for the HS, and the Best Parade Gimmick for the Commerce. We don't know if it is actually a co-incidence but those who won the major prize were also the colleges who won the special prize which were the 2nd placer-Cfad, 1st placer-Commerce and the Champion-HS. The group were actually aiming for a Champion this year (last yr they've won also the 1st place and the Champion was the HS)--what happened was sort of a repeat if you may think so but the hard work and all the concerted efforts paid off. They have brought again glory to the College. Cool. =P
It was them who made it. Hats off for winning it again and Congrats. =P Cool.

World Pyro Olympics

This is a late post. It will be a week by Jan. 20 of 2007 when we've seen the fireworks display of Philippines and China, which was the last installment, at MOA.
Pretty late did I arrive at Moa due to heavy traffic. It was 9pm then when I got there. Cielo, Je, and Gracia arrived early at around 8pm. They went there all together and unfortunate for me because my brother won't allow me to go if I didn't eat my dinner at home. Let's just think of the brighter side which is I will be able to save money for good. Ha ha! Anyway, back to what I was talking about. I really got stuck after the toll gate at coastal. My travel time from there to Moa was almost an hour, exaggerated it may be but true. Imagine, that was very tiring just waiting alone ( at partida nakatayo pa ng 1 hour sa bus) to arrive there. =( Actually, I didn't get to enjoy the first part of the Pyrolympics because I was alone watching. I got no company and was quite far to where my friends are which was beside the hypermart--I was at the Macapagal highway, iniside a jeepney specifically when the show almost started. My bad, I know (I'm late.) Plus, the network even get lagged? (very unlucky) That's the consequence, man. aagghhhh! But after all those unfortunate events, I laughed my stomach out in between the presentation of the two countries. Goodness! All that chat and the warp pictures taken during the interval were very comical, if only you can see them. (Cielo, upload mo na sa multiply mo ung mga warp picures na un, haha!)
In the course of China's turn for presentation, when I actually get the chance to see up close the fireworks, you could hear people of all ages uttering expressions such as "aww...., wow...., and cool..!" in their state of excitement and amusement. After the said event, we already want to go home but it was even harder for us because the line at the Shuttle was very long so we walk all they way to the intersection at front of San Juan De Dios. Lucky for me that I saw a bus going to Cavite but then again, no seat available. =/ When I finally got home, it was only then that Cielo texted me that they just took a cab because buses are too full to accomodate--Gracia and Je decided that they'll sleep over at Cielo's for safety purposes because it was almost 2 at dawn. It was also the time that the news announced that the UK have won the Pyro. China also bagged a special pize concerning with the technicality.

The Aftermath of Pacquiao's Victory
It's been more than a month since Manny Pacquiao, had won his 3rd match-up against Erik Morales. Pacquiao's victory affected our country's politicians. Among the list was Chavit Singson. He went to Las Vegas just to watch it live as a sign of his moral support to him. Looking to it deeply, it's not actually a necessity for him to go and support Pacquiao personally. Do you ever wonder why politicians use Pacquiao as kind of a medium? It is merely because of Manny's great influence to all of us that's why they use him to channel their agendas for our country. Not only Chavit Singson does this, even Mayor Lito Atienza's son, Ali Atienza, who will campaign for this year's election tags along with Manny during the motorcade. Another one was Congressman Miles Roces who drove Pacquiao's Porsche to the Quiapo Church after the Manila motorcade. See that? Politicians like them use Pacquiao just to attract the masses thinking that doing such could possibly help them win this year's election.
This is very rampant as of the start of this year. In respect to the Black Nazarene and the devout politicians to the Saint--streamers, tarpaulins and other paraphernalias are scattered over the metro just for running candidates themselves will be known to the public. They sort of took advantage of the feast. Nothing can be done by the Comelec, because no such law is appropriate to prohibit the running candidates for this type of an early campaign. Let's just see what will happen for the next few weeks on how they will make use of every way possible to be made known to the public.
Happy Feast Day to the Black Nazarene.

It was a roughly 36-hour adventure/trek!
It was friday morning when I woke up early--7am and it was an odd feeling for me because it wasn't my usual routine, ha ha! I usually woke up around 10-2pm in the afternoon. Pretty late? Yes it is because this Christmas break, I'm quite a vampire, as one person call it. lol. I slept already 4am in the morning, hu hu. Insomniac as you may think. Here's how it started, a college friend who was also a freshmen commerce student texted me that morning that they're going to Cavite for a project in Phil History, they were to go to Aguinaldo Shrine to have some photos because they needed a presentation. They asked for a favor in which they wanted to make me a tour guide? Hmp! At first I'm in denial because I thought it was boring but prior to what I've thought--Hell no! It was so much fun! A bunch of 6 gave me an ambush visit, ha ha! It was like I'm their 'hired' photographer! If only that was official, I would ask them for a payment! Just kidding! ha ha! The trippings and all in accord with their project was fun, --food was delicious, it was the typical for a barkada-out!pizza, roasted chicken, and the all time-favorite hotdog was served! lol. The three of them who were left also made a sleep-over at our house. Ahm, not actually a sleep-over because we slept almost sunrise and it was only a 4 hr rest. hu hu. For 3 consecutive days, I only had 12 total hours of sleep. hu hu. Though it was really tiring and we're almost dragging our feet at the end of the day, it was really enjoyable! Hopefully next time there will be a repeat. =D
But there was a dilemma, I didn't go with Arvin, Cielo, Clang, Gracia, Irene, and Je(?) at Mcdo. huhu. They asked me to go. hu hu, but I'm sorry. =/ I'll now promise to make it up next time. =)
*** Hours left, and 2006 is going to end. Kaibigan, salamat sa lahat--kasiyahan, kalibugan(lol) overnights na biglaan at lahat2 na, marami para sabihin pero salamat . patawad sa mga kasalanan. ***
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GODBLESS. ENJOY . =P

A Little Late.
Though I've read about Allen Iverson's soon trade-off with a team on NBA in a newspaper about 3 weeks ago(?), it's only now that I've known that it was on Denver Nuggets team that he was been trade-off(ed). Aggh. Thanks to Bhrill, Ralph, and Affy that they've changed the channel. After that, basketball talk began. haha! Cool.

Happy Holidays!
Happy Birthday Jesus! Though this greeting seems to be late because it's not Dec 25, still it's the Yuletide season so HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
What happened last year happened again this year! Last year, I missed the 1st mass but still continued attending the rest 8 days and made a wish. Thinking that I can complete it this year because i've made it up to the 7th day and there were only 2 days left, I didn't. hu hu. I suddenly have an allergy attack still due to an unknown reason--my skin was all pink in color and it was almost like the map of the Phils. ha ha! It was really a bad day. I can't resist the itchiness and if I scratch it, it will only leave a scar on it so I was brought to the hospital twice but on two different days. The doctors made an observation but only prescribe medication after. The medicine has its side effect--drowsiness! All I did on the 22nd was sleep, I didn't even eat my lunch and merienda. Upon waking up, I went to the cr and and then fainted. Lucky for me that my aunt and uncle was there. They just told me not to attend tomorrow's simbang gabi which is the 8th day and so I did. It will be for my own risk if I still wish to attend but I've decided not to. I realise that I do need to rest until I feel well. next day was Sunday and was the last simbang gabi. I woke up early just in time for simbang gabi bacause of having good rest.
Though I have missed again one day of the 9-day-Misa de Gallo for the second time, I still make a wish. My one friend told me, "It's not for the fact that you've finished the 9-day mass 'journey', nasa puso iyan e" (He said in Filipino).
